NCAA Division II placement — Alderson Broaddus University, West Virginia (2017)

The Journey
Ayden Dragun kicked off his US college soccer career in August 2017 with Alderson Broaddus University — an NCAA Division II men's soccer program in Philippi, West Virginia, placed during the company's original USA Football Forum era. At the time, Alderson Broaddus was an active NCAA D2 program competing in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, and Ayden made the move from Australia to the hills of rural West Virginia as a freshman, beginning the four-year college journey that the US system offers. A note on the school: Alderson Broaddus University closed in 2023. Ayden's placement remains a genuine part of the Upper 90 College story — one of more than a decade of Australian players placed across every division of US college soccer.
Challenges Overcome
Making the move from Australia to a small college town in the hills of West Virginia meant adapting to a completely different environment — a close-knit campus community, a new style of play, and life far from home — as he started his four-year journey in the American college system.
