Upper 90 College Client Sandra Hill is just one of many success stories from Grand Canyon University. While attending GCU, Sandra was a member of the women’s soccer team where she developed her game as an attacking midfielder and later graduated with her Masters Degree from the Colangelo College of Business. During her time at GCU she led her team to two WAC regular season titles and made an NCAA tournament appearance. Her academic achievements are no less impressive; graduating summa cum laude with a degree in Marketing and double minors in Professional Writing & Communications and Nonprofit Management & Leadership, while being named to both Dean’s List multiple times during her college career.
The main athletic facility at Grand Canyon University is Antelope Gymnasium which houses both men’s and women’s basketball teams along with volleyball, wrestling, track & field, cross country, golf teams amongst others. Other notable athletic facilities found on campus include Lopes Stadium (which hosts football games), Stengel Field (home of baseball) along with several outdoor fields for soccer, lacrosse & rugby all featuring top notch artificial turf grass systems designed for maximum safety and performance for athletes that use it daily for practice and competitions alike. Soccer is one of the major sports played at Grand Canyon University due to its large student body size.
Speaking of soccer specifically, Grand Canyon University also holds its home matches at GCS Stadium which opened back in 2010 becoming the 1st on-campus stadium dedicated exclusively for soccer games at any college within Arizona state boundaries making it quite unique amongst collegiate athletic venues nationwide due its seating capacity upwards of 2,500 people plus additional standing room should demand require it; this allows fans attending games a more immersive experience than open air stadiums where seating capacity can be much lower leading to fewer spectators in attendance altogether reducing overall fan atmosphere while watching matches live on site – something that definitely helps elevate game intensity levels up compared to playing on public venues not associated directly with schools themselves making GCS Stadium stand out from other similar facilities located elsewhere around North America / United States when it comes down to college soccer matches featuring home teams playing against visiting sides looking competing outside their own comfort zone(s).
