From New South Wales to Minesotta: Zac Harvey-Latham's Remarkable Journey to NCAA D3 National Championship Glory

In the annals of Upper 90 College success stories, Zac Harvey-Latham's journey stands out as a remarkable tale of determination, excellence, and a relentless pursuit of both academic and athletic achievement. Hailing from the vibrant soccer scene in New South Wales, Australia, Zac's path took him from the prestigious Knox Grammar School to the University of Mount Olive and, most recently, to the historic heights of St. Olaf College in Minesotta.

Early Years in New South Wales:

Zac's journey in soccer began in the New South Wales Premier Leagues, where he showcased his talents with clubs like the Inner West Hawks and Northern Tigers. His exceptional skills and passion for the game were further honed during his high school years at Knox Grammar School, setting the stage for a future filled with both academic and athletic success.

Following in His Brother's Footsteps:

Inspired by the achievements of his brother Eddy Harvey-Latham, an Upper 90 College alumnus who played and graduated from the University of Alabama Huntsville (NCAA D2), Zac set his sights on the USA college soccer scene to carve out his own legacy.

Mount Olive Years and Academic Excellence:

Zac's initial venture into USA college soccer led him to the University of Mount Olive, where he competed at a highly competitive level. Not only did he excel on the field, but he also made the President's Honor Roll for two consecutive years, showcasing his commitment to both his studies and the sport he loved.

Transition to St. Olaf College:

Seeking to expand his horizons academically and athletically, Zac made the decision to move to the NCAA D3 level, finding the perfect fit at St. Olaf College in Minesotta. Renowned as one of the top 10 Liberal Arts colleges in the USA, St. Olaf provided Zac with an environment that fostered both intellectual growth and soccer excellence.

National Championship Glory:

Zac joins 1 of 4 of our Aupper 90 alumnus to be crowned a National Champion! A very rare feat…congrats Zac!

The pinnacle of Zac's college soccer journey came in the form of a historic achievement – St. Olaf College's first-ever NCAA D3 National Championship title. In a thrilling final against Amherst College, Zac and his teammates secured a 2-1 victory in overtime. This remarkable accomplishment not only crowned Zac as a National Champion but also marked him as one of only four Upper 90 College clients to achieve this feat in the past 14 years.
