Gerard Roebuck's soccer journey is a testament to the transformative power of the USA college soccer system. Hailing from Australia, Gerard's path to success began with his impressive performances in youth soccer, including stints with the New South Wales Institute of Sports and the Marconi Stallions. His talent caught the attention of the Australian Youth National Team, earning him a spot in the Joey's squad.
However, it was Gerard's entry into the USA college soccer system, facilitated by Upper 90 College, that truly shaped his career trajectory. Placed at St. Mary's University, a nationally ranked NCAA D2 program, Gerard excelled both on the field and in the classroom.
During his time with the St. Mary's Rattlers, Gerard made a significant impact, helping lead the team to the NCAA D2 national tournament in 2019. In a memorable performance against Cal State LA, Gerard showcased his skill and determination with a career-high 10 saves, keeping the Rattlers in contention through overtime and penalties.

Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, which cut short his final year at St. Mary's, Gerard remained resilient. Returning to Australia to complete his degree in environmental sciences, Gerard reflected on his time in the USA college soccer system with gratitude, stating, "I had no regrets. The experience helped me become a more rounded person while excelling in football and gaining a top-level education."

Upon his return to Australia, Gerard continued to make an impact on the soccer field, playing for the Sutherland Sharks in the National Premier League 1. His experience in the USA college soccer system elevated his playing ability and provided opportunities that otherwise may not have been accessible.
Today, Gerard continues to excel both on and off the field. Playing for the Weston FC Bears in the Northern New South Wales Premier League, Gerard showcases his talent and passion for the game. Off the field, he has forged a successful career as a Mine Geologist at Myuna on Lake Macquarie.
